Social Action
With the notion that youths can move the world, Social Action is the school initiated programme for our learners in year 10-13 to enable students to acquire certain fundamental concepts so as to actively engage in prevalent discourses as they develop their powers of expression with a focus on critical thinking, literacy, comprehension and eloquent speech. In this space, the learners are able to come up with defined objectives, identify a problem, suggest possible solutions, address the problem and also mobilize resources. The aim of the programme is to enable them develop capabilities for both individual and community development. Motivated by a strong conviction to serve mankind, the agents of positive social change normally engage into more sustained projects that seek to transform society better. Over the years, our students have engaged in numerous activities and projects that alleviate human suffering such as visiting homes for the elderly, visiting schools for the differently abled (handicapped) and constructing a borehole for a community in Sebeta.
